So what should I do with it, I see two options:
8v it - I have a supersprint manifold, 40mm GSR throttle body, F9i kit and would get a C+B 268 cam.
Leave it as 16v and f**k on with wiring and tb + this route would mean the above items would be usless.
I also have a sports cat, supersprint back box which arent valvest.
Im considering 8v'ing it tbh (might dabble with some DIY head work whilst I was there. So what can be expected from those mods on a 1368 8v. I believe the grande has a 8v version which is around 76bhp iirc.
Its going on a mk2 punto btw.

It will be very good on torque and you should see at least 105bhp. I do like the idea of a 8v 1368 for a change.

Ive thought of two ways to 16v the car:
1. Use 8v loom and ecu - custom sandwich plate between 16v head and 8v inlet mainfold. - I dont know how different the inlets are.
2. Use complete 16v engine and inlet and buy a megasquirt ecu and fiddle with mapping for months.
3. Any ideas?

I wouldn't mess with a plate between 8v and 16v. You will lose. Go for either or.

I would just go for 1368 16v, We have proved on my car that with some light swearing and a lot of effort it can work (even on standard ecu). Although mine is 1242 16v basically same system apart from slightly taller block.
With the 8v parts you already have stacked up, you could sell and make enough money to buy worthy add ons such as the said cam and poss a supersprint manifold etc.
I think with a good setup well over 110bhp is possible, I think the 108bhp achieved on Em's 1368 car could be vastly improved.
What car is it going in - is it a cento??
