Anybody know the injector flow rate for the 1108mpi?
Shop4parts show it as being common to some of the later 1242 engines, but I don;t know how to find out the flow rate.

Been told elsewhere that they are 155cc/min which means that running up to 80% they should be good for about 95hp @ 3bar (as long as the pump can cope?)

80% is not the limit. You can run them nearer the 90%.

80% is not the limit. You can run them nearer the 90%. Good to hear that, I'm still thinking of mixing & matching heads, bottoms & externals, looking mainly for a hike in torque which I believe I should expect from larger displacement, fit a P75 cam, then go for a re-map from you guys to get things set up to match the other bits like my GSR TB & Mpi induction kit. Exhaust is nearly rotting through at the moment in various places anyway so I'm considering going for SS 4-2-1 with correct height for the 1242 & replacement sportcat plus backbox. I take it that setting up my 1108 mpi ECU to run existing 8v head & retaining the knock sensor & cam timing sensor onto a 1242 bottom end should be too much trouble? I'm quite confident about everything except for the oil & waterways. Do you ever happen to have compared 1108 8v & 1242 16v gaskets? The 1242 gasket I bought for comparison was the latest metal type & holes did not match up no matter how I looked at them

I did not come accross a problem with the head gaskets. I know that they vary slightly on some of the water ways but all metal gaskets are fitted so far to 1108s were not a problem.
With your existing hardware you will have no problems. But it is still quite a few things you have to do.
