Scottish newbie saying hello

Hi there how you all doing?

My name is Simon Im from Ayr which is just south of Glasgow.

Im currently building a car which is very similar to that of Hudson Henry's

It is a fiat 500 that has been changed slightly lol.

I am currently working on the bodywork, but the 1108 out of a panda 4x4 has been purchased and ready for a trial fit.

After that has been run standard and all of the niggles have been taken out, i'm planning to buy the 1.2 16v from a punto and run it on megasquirt with the honda cbrr 600 throttle bodies that i managed to get on ebay for about 25 quid!!!!

Here are the pics to bring you all up to speed of the build from day 1.

I've had this car about 3 years and it has been an on going thing. Sadly i've been in uni and now im working away from home which doesn't leave me much time to work on it, but i plan to et it finished by the end of the year. with about 100 BHP which sould be fun.



































































































Hope this gives you all a good idea of wot i've been getting up to with the disk brakes and the polycarbonate windows.

If you want to go 1242 why not going one bigger and go for 1368?

Rather than going with bike carbs you could go with standard injection and get out of fairly standard engine on 1242 over 100bhp and with 1368 over 120bhp. At least this way you do not need to experiment without end.
