Quick thread for my Uno. The modifications to the looks of the vehicle will probably not be to the tastes of people on here but hopefully the engine and suspension work planned should make up for that. Its a 1989 Fiat Uno i.e. which cost me the grand sum of 1 Fray Bentos pie. However I had to go down to London to pick it up off my mate so got the train down and drove back. Only broke down 4 times, due to having no air filter so was sucking water straight into the carb and cutting out. Its done 68000 miles and pulls like an absolute train compared to my Mk2. These are the wheels that will be fitted. I've got a few plans for the rest of the exterior. Will be lowered 4" at the front and 2" at the back on custom made coilovers, i'll probably build some custom ajustable front wishbones, and ajustable top mounts to give infinite camber/castor ajustment. At the back i'm going to convert to coilovers, just not sure if i'll have to strengthen the shock mounts or not. Interior will be completely stripped out bar the dashboard, then all panel strengthening cut out. Engine will be a 1 litre 16v with bike carbs. Thats about it for now. Just been working on the Mk2 to get it MOT ready so will crack on with the Mk1 now. Matt

I wouldn't go that low unless you bring the engine up quite a bit, because the drive shaft angles are getting too steep, which will affect performance adversly and wears the diff out prematurely as well as getting much more strain on the CV joints.
The Mk1s weren't slow. I used to have a Mk1 SX with the 1301 engine. A bit of tuning and it flew. Unfortunately it was stolen.
I expect it to be very quick with what you have got in mind.
