No way as much as that.
You can measure the difference in block height from the water pump (1108 is flush with the block, 1242 there is a step).
10mm or so of cast iron is not 20kg across the block.
If you are thinking handling wise you wouldnt notice a difference imo.

I was thinking about the suspension drop. I want it lower on the front so I thought fitting a heavier engine was the best way of doing it lol.

Well between a 1108 and 1242 16v I would say there was a noticable but very small drop (prob 5mm). Handling pretty much unchanged, although normally if you go significantly nose heavy turn in becomes sharper and the back end more skittish.

The 8v 1242 is insignificantly heavier than the 1108, the 1242 16v is somewhere between 15 and 20kg heavier.

because of the cam carrier and the head being two bits and not 1 as on the 8v.
