Right, progress! Exhaust now sorted, running larger 16v bore front/centre section in s/s, new b/b, sports cat with post cat lambda and car is apprantly going like 'wildfire' or so peter tells me! Only minor glitch now is an inconsistent hesitation in 1st gear, but new crank sensor on and hopefully may have sorted it, also obviously needs a further map, when the finished induction goes on. Brought up no fault codes on the Fiat OBD reader  apart from cam sensor which is not really affecting it and Peter is sorting something to Fool this in my understanding! Other bits, like fresh oil, handbrake mechanism improved etc also undertaken. So test rides are definately on the ace next month! - At last. Final mapping will be done after new induction is sorted. |

Well yet another update, car is finished all but mapping! So its pulling well but getting flatspots at times and not at others!

excellent news, I'm still shocked all the problems were because of that backbox... oh well another thing to add to the list of possibilities next time....
Are you happy with the performance so far? When do you want to get it mapped, any other modifications to happen before mapping?

Err no more mods for now, it was pulling well yesterday and was matching a clio sport 2.0 when it wasn't hesitating!
Mapping ASAP, as soon a Peter can sort something for me! Its booked in at the bodyshop next week to have all the stonchips and dents sorted! Then its pretty much sorted I think!

Err will sort some out as soon as it returns from "the bodyshop"! lol Including some new engine bay ones as I havn't taken any of the improved looking bay for a while Thankfully the pink silicon hose setup has gone And its now more in keeping with the rest of the car! |

Well an update..............
Another Early Sei MPI/Punto Mk2. Marelli ECU bites the dust!
After Zoe's going, Pauls going and since yesterday my car has had a chronic misfire so ones on order for me today of the newer type with the improved processor!
I've got a feeling this ECU has been sick for a while, and has been adding more to my underlying hesitation problems!!
